Empire Fence - Sales/Production Manager John LoCascio is a 12 year veteran working with ornamental wrought iron and various types of metals. He is specialized in drafting unique designs for his clients creating distinctive pieces they can enjoy for many years to come. A native to Chicago, a few of his most memorable clients included various sports figures and organizations (Jordan Residence and Chicago Blackhawks) and many well known Chicago-land area events and landmarks (Lincoln Park Zoo and Flower & Garden Shows). He recently moved to Austin, Texas wanting to be closer to his sister and her family and took a position as a sales/production manager for a local fence company (Empire Fence). Autism Trust USA - Board of Directors John’s passion to be involved in the Autism community came when his Godson (Ian Reed) was diagnosed with Severe Autism at the age of 3. For many years he watched as his nephew struggled to recover from his injuries, witnessing firsthand the extreme challenges his family faced. Many hours were spent with physicians, specialists, treatments, therapists and programs aimed at creating a team to help navigate through this diagnosis. His nephew, now 9, is on a path of recovery and John feels passionate about getting more involved, wanting to tell Ian’s story in the hope of spreading awareness. The Autism Trust was an opportunity to do just that and he is grateful for the opportunity to help build a team providing futures with purpose for people and families with autism.
