About John Lopes

I am someone that loves to chase the next passion project, the next event that will bring joy to people. I love film, I love sound, I love cinema. I always enjoy talking with other filmmakers and production crew alike to learn of their stories so that I may learn from their experience to thrive my future opportunities.My time working in the Audio-Visual industry has provided me an insight I never thought I would receive from both sides of the industry. To learn how a show is set up, to learn how talent and show runners work alongside another, and how every sequence during events is constructed. To understand teamwork on a deeper level and how to communicate properly amongst high stress time periods. I am grateful for this knowledge and the people I've met along the way.My time as a student doing film projects has given me a further appreciation and love for filmmaking that I've been having since I was but a small child. I've always yearned to be a part of the behind the scenes crew, and learning how movie magic is made has further increased my love for sound. I've always had a thing for audio and I love getting the chance to work with team at any chance I get. I always spend my time listening to music composition, film ambiance, voice overs in animation & video games, and making my own SFX/Voice overs. Learning how to operate a DAW (such as ProTools, Repear, Audacity, Logic, and Ableton Live) opened my mind to the ever increasing extremities of the audio world in a sense that projects are to be pursued with passion, understanding, and patience. With every second that is spent getting to learn what sound clicks with what a project calls for, the more detailed and thorough the final product will be.
