Dr. John Lund, Ph.D, is an educator, dean, journalist, political scientist, historian, skier, swimmer, world traveler, and news junkie. In 2022, he earned his Ph.D. in Educational Leadership from DePaul University when he defended his dissertation titled, “Everything is Political Now: Teaching Politics in the Age of Trump." He is a graduate of the Medill School of Journalism at Northwestern University with a master of science in journalism, specializing in political broadcast journalism. He earned a bachelor's degree in political science and history from the University of Michigan in 2007. Lund holds teaching endorsements for secondary education in social studies, journalism and political science. Lund interned in the United States House of Representatives in Washington, D.C, managed a campaign for state representative, and worked for an NBC affiliate as a general assignment reporter. As a journalist, he's reported everywhere from the White House, Capitol Hill and the State Department to rural farms of Michigan to poverty-stricken areas of Chicago.
