I am a friendly person who is always happy to share a smile. I can work well on my own or within a team and very happy to share my experience and knowledge. I believe in working smarter and more efficiently with the help of software applications like Power BI, Microsoft Access & Excel and IBM Cognos but I am always open to learning new skills. I have worked over 30 years using data to gain insights to create business reports, visualisations and earlier in my career forecasting product sales based on rules. My passion for data has been driven by my hobby of trying to predict results in horse racing. This is a very complex model with many fluid parts which I have always wanted to try an unravel. My email signature is usually "Teamwork makes the Dreamwork" which I heard in the film "The Darkest Hour" and resonates strongly with my personal work ethic. I will always try to help a person where I can even if it means I end up working a little later. I have found this is normally the start of a friendship or a helping hand in the future.
