By day, I'm a fusion of Data Engineer & Supply Chain Systems Manager, unraveling the intricate dance of data and business. My supply chain background grounds me in the business world, while my enthusiasm for Data Engineering propels me into the digital complexities of data and software. Like a philosopher delving deep into the cosmos for understanding, I'm driven by a quest to demystify complexity, building intricate systems that are intuitive and user-friendly. It is my goal to ensure that the projects I undertake resonate profoundly with real human needs. Beyond the structured world of data, I'm often drawn to the mysteries of the cosmos. My avid interest in astronomy and cosmology is a clear extension of my intrinsic curiosity, and it probably explains my career choice. Just as I strive to comprehend and demystify the complexities of the universe, in the realm of Data Engineering, I'm fervently passionate about making intricate concepts accessible and palatable for my fellow Earthlings and Data Consumers. Outside the bits and bytes of my career, you'll probably catch me playing shortstop on my baseball team (for 13 years!) in our local league, the SVABL. When I'm not doing that, I'm probably playing bass, guitar, and/or vocals in one of my two bands, or doing some kind of strenuous exercise. Lastly, but most importantly, I live for my three daughters, who leave me both inspired and fulfilled every day.
