I love digital marketing and following its fun and winding road. I am the President of McDougall Interactive, and author of Content Marketing and SEO for Law Firms. My first book, Web Marketing On All Cylinders was a National gold medal winner at the 2014 Independent Publisher Book Awards and a college textbook for 5 years. I speak at universities and colleges, such as Brandeis, Endicott College, NSCC, and Harvard Business School. Originally a Media Planner at McDougall Advertising, the sixth largest advertising agency in New England at the time, I was tasked to spearhead the company’s web design and internet marketing division during the dot-com boom. It was then that I took an SEO class – one of the first ever (1996), way before it became a popular marketing strategy. With over 25 years of experience in advertising and digital marketing, I have helped many businesses grow their brands online. My clients have included brands such as MIT, EBSCO, Blue Hills Bank, iContact, Arrow Electronics, Phillips Medical as well as dozens of law firms, National Law Review and banks/credit unions. My content has been featured in sites like Forbes, Huffington Post, HubSpot, NYT, eContent Magazine etc. I LOVE writing landing pages and doubling or tripling conversion rates. Google brought me and my team to their headquarters 4 years in a row and hoping to go back soon as I am a total geek for that kind of thing. I am part of the digital advisory board for Brandeis and North Shore Community College and also a board member of the North Sore Chamber of Commerce. In my free time I am out on my boat smelling the salt air and or writing my next marketing book or first novel.
