Reverse engineering expert specialising in the analytical deconstruction of competitor agrochemical formulations enabling the development of chemically identical generic “copycat” products. With over 16 years of experience, and as the SME for the development and validation of chromatographic and spectroscopic techniques, I lead a team of scientists in the identification of unknown excipients across a variety of formulation types. Our routine chromatographic capabilities include UPLC interfaced with a range of detectors (QTOF, TOF, UV, PDA, CAD, Fluorescence, Conductivity and RI) and GC interfaced with MS, FID and TCD, alongside other characterisation techniques including NMR, FTIR, SEM, XRPD and EDX. I’m proud to have developed much of Life Scientific’s portfolio including generics of Bayer’s Atlantis WG, Valiant Flash and Option Flash, and Syngenta’s Callisto SC, Topik EC and Switch WG.
