I am the author of five books, one being a children's book: Each are on Amazon:"Finding Our Way: An Introspective Journey Through the Labyrinth of Life,""Finding Our Way through the Wilderness: A Journey for Lent or Other Days of Spiritual Reflection and Prayer," Finding Our Way With the Magi: A Daily Guide Through the Season of Advent, and "Hoping Liberia: Stories of Civil War in Africa's First Republic.” Last year I released my first children’s book,"Yob and the Bird Dog, Yob Learns to Make Good Choices." https://lnkd.in/gvaNDsAx I won nine Amy Writing Awards from the Amy Foundation from 1998 to 2012, which ran a national writing contest acclaimed as the most popular in the nation. My work came mostly from articles I had written as weekly installments to "The Moultrie Observer." The contest eventually ended after its founder, Jim Russell died. While never claiming the first prize, placing in the contest gave me confidence that my work compared favorably with some good writers across the country. Besides writing, I enjoy pastoral counseling in the evenings after I complete my work as a chaplain. I see clients online and in downtown Jefferson, Georgia.(See my website: I am also trained as a Life Coach by Summit Coaching, which is certified by the International Coaching Federation. Life Coaching is a coach/client partnership in which the client enters a thought-provoking and creative process designed to maximize his/her personal and professional potential. This is NOT therapy, consulting, or even advice-giving. Rather, coaching is a client-centered approach where the client creates and implementing his/her physical, mental, and emotional well-being, decisions, choices, and actions. The results arise out of the coaching/client experience, as the coach is trained in knowing how to produce results through expert questioning.(Also see website.)
