About John Michael Tomasicchio

As the founder and CEO of The Mindful Archivist Project, I help individuals and organizations manage and control their digital and physical assets, using mindful organizational structures and workflows. I also provide physical and mental wellness resources and consultations, based on my certification in personal training and my passion for health and well-being. In addition, I serve as the Associate Archive Director and the Digital Archives Manager at the Metropolitan Opera, where I have been working for over seven years. I oversee the processing, preservation, and advocacy of the opera's collections and archival staff, as well as the creation and implementation of various databases and metadata systems. I have extensive experience in digital and physical file organization, web design, digital marketing, and exhibit coordination. I excel in Excel, Photoshop, XML, and other data and cataloging tools. I am also proficient in German and have a background in history and library science.
