About John Michaelis

I am an investor inspired by the innovative use of technology to develop new business models and address some of the major challenges facing society; improving productivity and scaling societal imperatives: I am currently focussed on healthcare and trust and safety. Previously I was the founding shareholder of Aurora, which became the market leader in AI solutions for the air sector, before a successful exit. My business career includes an IPO and two trade sales. I spent two decades leading my own consultancy businesses which delivered critical productivity improvements for clients in the technology and banking sectors In 2020 I published my first book: You++, an easy to read introduction to AI for entrepreneurs and career professionals. The book is a practical guide outlining how individuals can embrace AI to support them in work, hobbies and home life. I have 25 years experience with face recognition. Aurora, became the UK market leader in face recognition for security applications. I now support Blueskeye AI which is the world leader in measuring facial expression to assess mood and emotional response real time.
