About John Mikhail

I am a self-motivated and people oriented Chartered Professional Accountant and Certified Internal Auditor looking to enhance my strong accounting and audit knowledge. I am experienced in creating and leading complex subject matter audit engagements, preparing detailed audit reports and presenting findings and recommendations to the board of directors and senior management. I've trained new auditors, while reviewing working papers and draft audit reports prepared by my fellow auditors. My business interests include financial analysis and reporting, reviewing financial and operational procedures while assessing for risk and the adequacy of internal controls. I enjoy discussing methods to achieve and promote efficient and effective business processes with management in the capacity of a business consultant. I am dedicated to continuous learning and growth in the accounting and audit professions, while striving to challenge myself in all aspects of my career. My goal is to become a diversified accountant and business consultant. Other goals include teaching sessional accounting courses at a post secondary institution. Teaching future accountants, auditors and business leaders would allow me to impart my knowledge to developing professionals, as well as stay current with new and changing accounting standards.
