About John Molloy

I learnt early on in my marketing career that achieving real motivation and passion in my work was based on holding a firm belief in the value of what I was trying to communicate to my audience. I have had over 10 years of experience in marketing communications and in that time have been fortunate to find opportunities working with organisations that truly want to help people – whether that’s in finding new roles, through teaching or bringing exciting digital resources to education. One of the recent highlights of my career at Discovery Education was working on a digital marketing campaign called ‘Get your Sundays Back’. It was an idea that we collaborated on with our digital agency as we wanted to shift our message to teachers and focus on one of their major pain points – planning. Having been a teacher myself it was an issue I could empathise with. We set out to show teachers that there was a way to make their lives easier and get more of their personal time back - and it really struck a chord. Developing the idea and creative and seeing the engagement from the audience was really rewarding, even more so to see the campaign shortlisted for the UK Search Awards 2016.
