About John Molloy

Hi! My name is John (he/him) and I like to fix things. I have the tools and experience to dive deep and take on all sorts of potential or ongoing problems. I see my purpose as a manager to lift up those around me and elevate them to do their best work. The way it seems best to do this is to allow everyone around you to be comfortable being themselves, to bring the full breadth of their life's experience to bear. This is something that I try to do each and every day, so that others might benefit from my own meandering time on this earth perhaps both in their personal and professional lives. That's not to say I haven't made mistakes. I've made quite a few. I'd like to think I've learned more from my failures than from my successes, and I understand the value of failure in growing a person and understanding their personal style. I am an effective communicator who keeps his eyes on the ball. In most situations there are powerful and potent folks around you who are more than capable of bringing down mountains, setting up mountains, moving mountains, whatever the job might be - the trick in any group or organization is finding the harmony and communication style to get everyone going in the same direction. Given enough time I will always find the magic words. I have spent over a decade honing my technical skills. I have used every hand tool that you could probably think of, even most of those you might be seeing on amazon for the first time. I have driven almost every machine that you could possibly think might be used in the scope of day to day work. I have had in my hands more power tools than I can safely count. I have used productivity tools and applications from all four corners of this great interweb, and am proficient in all of the old standbys. I welcome and participate in automation of any sort. That's not to say I cloister myself against the rough stuff, no way - I'm more than comfortable cleaning a bathroom or fishing up objects up from drains. I've spent days knee deep in whatever substance you might be thinking about right now, and in most cases, have kept the moustache intact. Lastly, and most importantly, I know the value of showing up. If its a three AM call or a transition from daylight to the midnight oil I am on site and on side. I put all of myself into the places that I am - I believe more than anything else the person you are is the person you are all the time. There is no turning off, there is no greener grass, there is only ourselves and our own capacity for growth. May you find what you're looking for!
