John was appointed as the CEO of Man Asset Management (Ireland) Ltd (an authorised UCITS management company and AIFM in Ireland) on 1 January 2019 following the company’s decision to establish an office in Dublin. Prior to that John (a UK qualified lawyer since 1991) was the Global Co-Head of Man Group’s Legal team. He is a director of Man Group’s UCITS and AIFs in both Ireland and Luxembourg. Prior to his current appointment he also chaired the Group’s UK ACD board meetings. Before joining Man, John was the Head of Legal and Compliance at Societe Generale Asset Management in the UK. John has worked in the asset management sector since 1994.In April 2009 the Société Générale Asset Management UK business was acquired by GLG. In May 2010 GLG was acquired by the Man Group.
