About John Nduli

I love technology, tinkering with hardware, mountain biking and watching anime. I'm also a huge fan of GNU/Linux and vim. I’m curious. I ask a lot of questions. My spare time is spent exploring advanced features in languages like Python and Rust; reading rationalist fiction and sci-fi and decomposing complex features used in open-source software such as guix, airflow and genenetwork. Some of my notable achievements include- Data warehouse optimization by adding multi-level partitioning to our databases which reduced query time by 15%- DevOps tooling such as implementing CI/CD to release our Data Ingestion Pipelines which bumped up the release frequency to over 200 releases per week and reduced leadtime from 15min to < 15 seconds- Graph Data Models where I designed the framework for migration from a CSV based model to RDF Knowledge Base. RDF resulted in easier data modelling and maintenance for our ontology.
