About John Nessiem

My name is John Nessiem, I am currently a Procurement Supervisor at Fawry. I have more than 8 years of experience in procurement in different industries. My role at Fawry enabled me to take on the challenge of creating a tracking andupdates’ system for procurement procedures serving multiple stakeholders,delivering updates and reports with high level of detail. In addition to balancingtactical executions with strategic initiatives to drive cost reduction and improveoperational efficiency. Before joining Fawry I was a Foreign Senior Procurement at ORIENTAL WEAVERSINTERNATIONAL managing a spending budget exceeding $15 Million and managingsupplier relationships for 23 factories. And before that I was a Team Leader atDoehler Egypt, an affiliate of Doehler Group, a Global producer, marketer andprovider of technology-based natural ingredients, ingredient systems andintegrated solutions for the food and beverage industry. One of my favorite projects was related to packaging which was; being able tolaunch an initiative that led to 20M EGP cost saving (in one project), localizing thesourcing of Aseptic bags (primary and critical packaging for Doehler). I was alsoresponsible for SAP training and capacity building for the sourcing team and I waspart of the team who led the SAP Roll out (MM Module) by testing the whole cycle & going live with the new system and data migration supervision. As for my education, I am certified by APICS (The American Production andInventory Control Society) in CPIM (Part 1) and CSCP in 2017 and 2018 respectively.
