About John Nichols

I am a student at the Indiana University Kelley School of Business in pursuit of an Information Systems and Business Analytics degree. I am a Cox Legacy scholar; this allows me to bridge my academic passions with my employment in a meaningful way. I work as an Undergraduate Program Assistant in the Kelley Student Life office. At Kelley Student Life we prepare involvement fairs for the various student organizations and relay information about these events to students, providing opportunities for all Kelley students to discover and follow their interests. This opportunity allows me to collaborate with others and put my creative thinking skills to use. I've recently become fascinated with information systems and data analytics. My experience in Excel, Tableau, and Python allow me to model data and find solutions to any problem I am faced with. I grew up in Noblesville, Indiana. I spent much of my time at Noblesville High School involved with sports. I played three sports during my time there, which built a strong foundation of a consistent work ethic and dedication to my craft. I enjoy finding the most efficient way to complete tasks. I always put forth my best effort to things that I am passionate about and aspire to reach my full potential. I love learning about and trying new things that interest me, whether that be a new job opportunity, a new project to work on, or even trying a new restaurant. Recently, I've dove into data analysis and modeling, and used these skills to create a predictive model of the success of NFL wide receivers based on college statistics and measurables. The results of this model are showcased on my website linked above in my intro section.
