I was raised in Franklin, Tennessee, and received my master’s degree in Professional Counseling from Lipscomb University. I began my career in Knoxville, Tennessee where I was a therapist at the Helen Ross McNabb Center. I then moved back to the Nashville area, where I practiced psychotherapy at both Lipscomb University and Mercy Community Healthcare. I am on the board of the Nashville Psychotherapy Institute, a local organization that offers continuing education and community for practicing psychotherapists, and currently hold the position of Past Chair. I'm also trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT).
