With a natural talent for thinking outside the box, John leads Imitera in developing cutting-edge mixed and virtual reality solutions for a variety of industries. Currently, Imitera focuses on creating embodied digital environments and platforms that help clients showcase their technologies in impactful ways. Our expertise includes developing virtual product showcases and virtual twins, which allow for realistic and informative representations of products and processes. These solutions enhance marketing, testing, and research capabilities, providing cost-effective methods for businesses to engage with their audiences. Recently, Imitera achieved a significant milestone by becoming a Volvo CampX Incubator company, thanks to our innovative framework. This recognition underscores our commitment to excellence and our ability to deliver transformative XR solutions that meet the highest industry standards. In 2005, John began his journey in immersive technology with the creation of jDome, an innovative immersive screen. By designing prototypes and creating viral YouTube content, John built significant awareness around the jDome concept, leading to its recognition as one of the top 100 new inventions by Money Today. The jDome was later acquired by Camanio Care in 2015, where it now serves as the foundation for the BikeAround application, helping people with dementia and stroke bike down memory lane using Google Street View. John's background as a Systems Engineer has seen him consult for leading companies such as Siemens-Elema, Nordea, and Ericsson.
