Senior consultant/advisor with over 25 years I.T. experience in the financial sector. My roles within Bank of Ireland Group Technology were varied and included time spent on the MIS reporting & book-keeping systems with my final 10 years focused on development of the internal ATM & Card systems- Subject matter expert for BOI’s Anti-fraud measures designed specifically to handle Chip Card fraud and its Smart Card chip settings- Transitioned the existing ROI VISA Debit card production from an in-house operation to a new outsourced 3rd party vendor- Developed new Contactless Card products for the NI/GB Cards Business & the UK Post Office. My time with Underwriters Laboratory (UL) was spent using my payments/cards knowledge in a consultancy capacity to provide expert knowledge to several leading Irish Financial Institutions. I have also managed the DPAS (Discover/Diners) E2E certification process within the UL Dublin Office. I have also worked with a government authority as a technical architect for various projects & also providing advice on their IT Security options (crypto & HSM). Recently, I have worked as the lead technical analyst on a PSD2 Contactless Card project & provided consultancy on other regulatory & compliance projects for a variety of Irish issuing banks. I am now a senior consultant with FIME. Looking to continue providing added value to our customers as they develop solutions in the ever changing payments, transit & identity areas. I am also very interested in the use of open payments within EV Charging networks & have contributed to the Secure Technology Alliance white paper on “Electric Vehicle Charging Payment framework with ISO15118”. Key Skills: • Very strong background in IBM Mainframe (OS/390) environment using MVS.
