About John Ogden

I've enjoyed over 20 years in the mining industry after 6 years of service in the United States Air Force. I'm passionate about all things mechanical, and I've had the opportunity and pleasure of learning the workings and maintenance of a wide variety of machinery from aircraft down to lawnmowers, and much more in between. I've led my fellow Airmen in preparing B52s for flight, repaired heavy equipment and yellow iron in my long mining career, lost countless sockets fixing up cars with my grandpa and now my son, and sweated over many stalled weed eaters (with half my lawn still to go, of course). I've leveraged my interests into several maintenance and leadership roles, ultimately becoming a production control supervisor accountable for the rapid-fire decision-making necessary to allocate the right resources to achieve production targets, manage emergency situations, and effectively communicate critical information to stakeholders. I am an earnest problem-solver who thrives on tangible results of my work. I believe strongly in gaining and keeping the respect of my team. I am devoted to the task at hand, and the most important task of all is ensuring my team returns home safe at the end of every day.
