About John Oneill

Dr. O’Neill is a licensed clinical social worker, chemical dependency counselor and a certified addiction counselor (sex). Dr. O’Neill has developed and presented more than 75 programs in such subjects as anxiety and addiction, family dynamics, trauma and sexual health and has contributed to articles and stories in the Houston Chronicle, Denver Post, Washington Post, Houston Medical Journal, WebMD, and many other publications. He has also appeared on ESPN, National Public Radio, Fox News, NPR, XM Radio, and KTRH Radio. He managed the employee assistance program services for the Houston Astros for twelve seasons. He currently manages the employee assistance program for the Professional Umpire Development Program. He has taught college courses at local colleges for 17 years. He has previously worked as a Vice President at Phoenix House, Addictions Director and Program Director at The Menninger Clinic, and at MHMRA of Harris County (now Harris Center).
