About John Oppermann

I have over 30 years’ experience in the asset management and funds industry. In a regulated industry that is demanding greater transparency and independence, I am a Certified Independent Non-Executive Director to Asset Management Firms, Investment Funds and Special Purpose Vehicles. I have extensive experience of the international investment funds industry with international funds domiciled in various locations across a variety of asset classes. I have managed and developed key client relationships at senior management and board level with international client companies and their advisers. I have completed the Certified Investment Fund Director (CIFD) Programme from the Institute of Banking, a specialist programme developed to address investment fund governance, the distinctive characteristics of investment funds, the unique set of relationships within the investment fund governance framework and incorporating the key risk aspects of investment funds and their risk oversight. I am available to serve as an independent non-executive director to funds domiciled in Ireland and all fund jurisdictions including Cayman, BVI and Luxembourg.
