I am the Clinical Director at Capital Institute for Cognitive Therapy for our Bethesda office. I also work as a therapist at this practice and provide evidence-based cognitive behavioral therapy for adults for various mood and anxiety disorders. I graduated from Saint Louis University and completed my postdoctoral fellowship under the direction of Aaron Beck and Greg Brown at the University of Pennsylvania’s Psychopathology Research Unit, where I provided individual cognitive-behavioral therapy and trained other mental health providers to deliver this treatment. I have also served as the project coordinator for two grant-funded clinical research projects at Uniformed Services University for the treatment of active-duty military personnel at-risk for suicide. My current clinical areas of focus are mood and anxiety disorders. In my spare time I compete in endurance sports and have been a member of the USA Men’s 24-Hour Track & Field team.
