About John P. Morris

With over 40 years in higher education facilities management I am skilled in facilities management, leadership, fiscal management, technical expertise, and strategic planning in a public higher education institutional setting. I have a verifiable record of accomplishment in increasing performance through dynamic leadership, strategic planning, process design, innovation and change management. I have demonstrated an ability to work successfully with a diverse community, including senior administrative leaders, state and local officials, students, members of the public, facilities employees, and local community partners. My guiding principles include honesty and integrity; a strong customer focus; teamwork; employee development, empowerment and safety; sustainability; and a strong commitment to inclusivity. I have a passion a passion for higher education. I strongly believe that learning and the campus-built environment are interrelated. With that in mind, I feel the role of the facilities management division is to work with the campus community to create learning and living environments that enhance student success and research excellence.
