About John Parrish

John M. Parrish, PhD, MBA, CNPS has held leadership positions at The Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine, The University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine and The Erickson Foundation (a private operating research foundation). His previous career roles have included: faculty-appointed scientist, educator and practitioner; architect and administrator of clinical services in diverse settings (from intensive inpatient to ambulatory clinics to home- and community-based services); clinical services and training supervisor; co-director of advanced interdisciplinary training programs; independent investigator both as a scientist and program evaluator; grant/contract application writer; grant/contract-funded project director; manuscript/report writer; hospital service line administrator; journal reviewer and editor; consultant; fund-raiser; executive director of private foundation; trustee of not-for-profit organizations; community volunteer. Populations served have ranged from infants to the oldest-old, with a thematic focus on (a) advancing current best practices and policies on behalf of vulnerable populations at risk for multiple chronic conditions and (b) optimization of health and wellness across the full life-span through prevention and evidence-based practice (diagnosis and management) in integrated health delivery systems. He is the author or co-author of multiple published articles and book chapters, and the (co)presenter of numerous invited works at (inter)national conferences.
