About John Paul

My leadership purpose is to challenge the status quo and re-engineer the way work gets done resulting in sustainable and equitable business practices that encourage people to thrive in their careers and make the world a better place for generations to come. I hold an undergraduate degree in Chemical Engineering, and a Masters in Business Administration both from the University of Minnesota. I have 10 plus years of professional work experience across multiple businesses and geographic locations. I most recently designed, commissioned and started up a world scale Reverse Osmosis manufacturing plant in Saudi Arabia in order to provide fresh, clean drinking water to millions of people around the world. After moving back to the United States, I joined Optum in their Launch Leadership Program, with the combined focus to help people live healthier lives and to help make the health system work better for everyone. I now drive the Digital First strategy within the Acceleration Office supporting the Optum Washington care delivery organization. In my free time I enjoy traveling both domestically and internationally with my wife and son and staying active with pick-up games of ultimate, volleyball, tennis, and in the winter you will find me at the local curling club.
