John M. Peterman is the fifth generation to lead Gillespie & Powers, Inc. in its 85-year-old history. John is the President of Gillespie & Powers, Inc, has worked for over 25 years, and has grown to play an integral role in its success. He deals in all sized projects handling all aspects from start to finish; sales, conceptual design, specification, estimating, and ultimately seeing the product placed into production. His advancement within the company is a literary tale of starting on the ground floor, sweeping warehouse floors during high school summer breaks, and advancing to managing large and small capital projects and engineering leads. John began his career at Gillespie & Powers in 1996 as a draftsman. While there, he quickly gained experience in process design, material and equipment specification, construction coordination, and project management. Throughout his career, John has shown a commitment to safety and quality, consistently strives to optimize project performance, and is an effective leader, mentor, and collaborator. He is a highly reliable professional who is dedicated and committed to helping his clients succeed. John has also developed several patents on specialized equipment and processes and is seen as a leader in his field. In addition, he is a highly sought-after consultant and is often called upon to provide advice, guidance, and mentorship to other professionals. Today, under John's watch, Gillespie & Powers, Inc. has made numerous successful acquisitions and grown organically within established market sectors. His work has earned him the respect of his peers and the trust of his investors. Gillespie & Powers, Inc. is part of GP HoldCO, Inc, a holding company owned by John and his partners. John was appointed President of GP HoldCo, Inc, and today he is responsible for the firm's strategic growth. John is an active member of the business community and a member of several boards.
