About John Phillips

I currently work at the St Regis CE Academy, where I teach KS3 and KS4 Design & Technology and Computing. I recently worked at the Burton Borough School in Newport, Shropshire of which I was a Design & Technology teacher teaching KS3 DT, Food, Computing & KS4 Design & Technology. I studied at the Unviersity of Chester and worked within the Alun School in Mold as an Associate Teacher gaining experience and passing my QTS in Teaching Design & Technology. I also was Vice-President to the Education Society at the University and participated within and completed my Level one in BSL (British Sign Language) I studied at the University of Wolverhampton to get my 2:1 degree in Product Design and whilst I was studying I was also working and managing Lettings at the Ormiston NEW Academy which has great and highly successful facilities which is used by great groups and hirers who are supported by a hard working team of staff who ensure they deliver great service. I've also worked and qualified as a level 3 Teaching Assistant STLS and also worked as a technician within the Design and Technology Department where I was responsible for pupil attainment and health and safety as well as working with children from different and various backgrounds. These children range from those with self-confidence, anxiety disorder, disabled, ADHD, Mood disorders and those who have English as a second language. Lastly I worked within a fast-paced environment at a SPAR that then turned into a BP M&S, working to high M&S standards ensuring customers were at the forefront of what we do. Worked not only on the shop floor but was also reponsible for the Wild Bean Cafe which I was responsible for cooking and serving hundreds of customers per day.
