The revered gate of Mississippi College shown above my photo tells its graduates to depart and share your culture with all mankind. That's exactly what I want to do. The culture is the Gospel Truth through and through, and my desire is to not let it remain in a silo. I've had a wonderful "professional" LinkedIn page for many years as a Research Professor in Biology, Biochemistry and Neuroscience - as well as been a small business owner running clinical trials. On that LinkedIN page I am well-connected for my career interests and you can find my publications. Here, however, I would rather be known as a person still studying the world (i.e, of Chinese for instance), as a mentor (of international students), as a collector (of experiences), as a Christian Alpha group leader, as a tennis lover, and as an avid advocate for international student education (both into and out of US colleges). I love to find where God is working. Especially where He is awaking citizens of this generation who're being lulled into thinking objective truth is passee, preferring social media silos over talking with others, or using Google to search for truth and now ChatGpT to write papers, making excuses that someone is systemically racist or bigoted, all the while failing to notice that there is only one race - the human race - and it is inherently more interesting than virtual reality. It is also a race easily manipulated. Face it. As a biological creature, I am aging. But we are always transitioning. In retirement I seek to give back more to society without being formally employed in a career day-in and day-out. I'm open to any and all suggestions!
