I am the replenishment executive at Massmart Retail, a leading South African retailer and wholesale distributor that is part of Walmart International. I have over 30 years of experience in the retail industry, with a proven track record in Operations, Buying, Merchandise Planning and Supply Chain. My core competencies include executive management, strategic thinking, analytical skills, inventory optimisation, demand forecasting, and merchandise planning. My mission is to ensure optimal product availability, assortment, and allocation across the Massmart group of companies, which comprises Builders, Massdiscounters, Masscash, and Masswarehouse. In my current and previous roles, I have improved operational efficiency, customer satisfaction, and profitability by developing and implementing inventory optimization strategies, business processes, and implemented replenishment systems. I have also proven track record in supplier negotiations, managed cross-functional teams, and leveraged SAP BW, SAP ERP, SAP F&R and SAP Hana amongst other tools to analyze and forecast demand and supply. I am passionate about delivering consumer products and services that meet the diverse and dynamic needs of the African market.
