John R. Plavan Jr.(“JP”)- Owner: The PS Trucking family of transportation companies - Pro Truck Lines - Nichols Trucking Company - Action Heavy Haul We take freight management concerns away from companies to allow them to focus on their core business instead of worrying about freight, trucks, drivers. We drive our customers forward. PS Trucking is now a family of transportation companies with teams of logistics professionals embracing a modern approach to managing freight as we grow in today's logistics world. This approach is an outgrowth of JP's work in the technology startup environment. As the founding CEO of EarthRisk Technologies and Riskpulse (now Everstream.ai), JP continued to see the need for a new generation of leadership in the Transportation and Logistics industry and has since acquired a group of long standing freight businesses to meet that growing need. Everstream Analytics (the result of Riskpulse and DHL's Resilience360) optimizes planning and communication for disruption-sensitive logistics operations for the worlds largest and most complex supply chains. The leading of a data-driven predictive analytics company, the asset-based trucking companies, and the non-asset specialized freight brokerage company has provided a unique perspective built on a career of varied entrepreneurial endeavors in and around the transportation and transaction management landscapes. JP is also the Founder of P-Fleet, an integrated fleet expense processing and resource management provider throughout the U.S, and a founding partner of RPC Property Tax Advisors, MRV Systems, and Pacific Scene Capital. JP and partners then founded EarthRisk Technologies to help global energy traders identify mis-priced markets as a function of future demand risk, before later founding hedge fund Leeward Pointe Capital to trade those markets directly. EarthRisk then evolved in to the supply chain and logistics risk management space as Riskpulse, and finally Everstream Analytics. JP also has extensive experience in the petroleum products and distribution industry. After building Plavan Petroleum for more than 16 years, he sold the company in 2008 to expand his entrepreneurial leadership endeavors. In his spare time, he has fun with his wife and children in outdoor adventures near their home in the mountains of Park City, UT. JP also enjoys vintage auto racing and uses his pilot’s license for extensive family and business travel, and has enjoyed a long tenure in the Young Presidents Organization (YPO) and was the San Diego chapter Chairman.
