John is a Technical Director at Aurecon, a global engineering and advisory company. He has over 30 years of experience in water engineering, working across Australia, South East Asia, India, the Baltic Sea, and the Middle East. He is an expert in water infrastructure, water recycling, water treatment, and water reuse technologies. John is a visionary leader and a passionate advocate for innovative and sustainable solutions in urban water management. He has led and delivered several large-scale and complex projects, such as the NEWater Project in Singapore, the largest UV disinfection plant in Australia, and the Goulburn Valley Renewable Hydrogen Ecosystem in Victoria. He has also co-developed the award-winning Seamless Coagulation Dosing technique, using machine learning and real-time sensors. John's work has been recognised by several prestigious awards, such as the Stockholm Water Industry Award, the Nordic Green Bank Funding Award, and the PUB Global Innovation Challenge Award. John's mission is to advance the future of the water industry, by applying his unique thinking, pioneering spirit, and visionary leadership.
