Hi, my name is John Praria and I am a Navy vet. In the Navy, I was a Machinist Mate Nuclear First Class onboard nuclear submarines. I achieved the highest qualifications as both Engineering Watch Supervisor and Quality Assurance Inspector. During my tour, I picked up experience in leadership, teamwork, good engineering practices, advanced troubleshooting, and problem-solving. I recently graduated from Thomas Nelson Community College with an A.S. in Engineering (Civil Track) and will finish my B.S. at Old Dominion University in the spring of 2024 majoring in Civil and Environmental Engineering with a minor in Computer Science. I want to move on to city planning and work in public service to improve the infrastructure of my surrounding community.
