About John Preston

I am originally from Harrodsburg, Kentucky. After 22 years in TV and seven in the newspaper world, I decided to abandon the corporate rat race in 2014 to launch my own business. I wanted to control my future. Best Version Media offered me the perfect platform to make that happen. BVM is an international publishing company that specializes in personalized and exclusive magazines with locally-based content. It's one of the fastest-growing media companies in the world. Since then, I have created four Central Kentucky magazines myself and overseen the creation of 33 others across Kentucky and Tennessee. Our magazines are designed to bring joy to homeowners by celebrating the good things happening in their communities. We also are scientifically designed to be the most powerful marketing tool available to help business owners maximize their profit. My goal is to launch 100 more across the two states over the next five years. I am always on the lookout for entrepreneurs who are ready to impact their communities in positive ways (and make a significant income). My latest project is Equine Living in the Bluegrass, Kentucky's first-ever all-breeds magazine. With it, I hope to unify the various breeds and disciplines behind their shared love of horses while providing the perfect outline for helping equine-related businesses thrive. When combined with an equine-focused digital campaign and an all-discipline equine sports page, this is the most powerful equine marketing tool ever in the state of Kentucky (If not in the U.S.) Through working with thousands of entrepreneurs, I recognized how many need help with the business side of their businesses. I have seen amazing professionals shut down their businesses because they simply never figured out how to reach customers. Often, the least amount of business education could have made all the difference in the world. That's why I launched Small Business In Small Bites and Wake Up 2 Success. two podcasts designed to help entrepreneurs be more successful. SBISB focuses on the external challenges of running a business (advertising, customer support, hiring, etc.) while WU2S focuses more on the internal struggles (self-doubt, indecision, fear, etc.) that all entrepreneurs struggle with. In addition, I have now launched a coaching business offering a wide range of personal and group services for business owners.
