Demonstrated ability to express complicated meteorological and climatological information in a professional and easily understood manner. Written over 300 opinions over the last six years on the role of weather in a variety of insurance claims and civil litigation across the U.S. from Maine south to Florida, Georgia and Mississippi, and west to Colorado, Idaho and Oregon. Serve on the Steering Committee of Central Pennsylvania Integrated Weather Impacts Team and the Weather Advisory Council of the Event Safety Alliance. Certified instructor with Federal Emergency Management Agency delivering courses on tornadoes, hurricanes, winter weather hazards and flooding through the National Disaster Preparedness Training Center. Served as Treasurer of the National Weather Association following two three-year terms as Councilor, and President in 2008. Received the National Weather Association's Member of the Year Award in 2009. Served on the Board of Continuing Professional Development of the American Meteorological Society. Earned the nationally recognized Certified Consulting Meteorologist designation from the American Meteorological Society in 2011. Lead author on invited chapter entitled "Forensic Meteorology. Application of Weather and Climate to Forensic Entomology" published in 2009 in "Forensic Entomology", 2nd Ed by CRC Press; updated chapter material for 3rd edition to be published in 2020.
