About John Ragot

Over the last two years, I have been applying my design experience towards the Root Cause Analysis process. It has been a great experience that has given me the exposure to what works, and what doesn't in the directional drilling tool suite. Developing and implementing the structured process in Phoenix, a multinational corporation, has been both a challenge and a great success. My skills are wide in variety. The projects that I have been responsible for include process management applications, multiple high temperature downhole drilling sensors and telemetry tools. A few notable projects include "At Bit Inclination"​, propagation resistivity, surface equipment and motor control. In all of these I have been responsible for both hardware and firmware design. The projects have required high temperature, high accuracy and high reliability. I have strong Tensor system knowledge for interfacing needs, including CAN & Q-Bus communications. Along with my design responsibilities, I am also have assembled the prototypes, running the test runs and overseeing the testing and production. Running test wells have involved both travel and rig operations on multiple occasions. My strongest attribute is my ability to apply the sum of my experiences and knowledge to any situation to design the most profitable equipment or process.
