PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE Independent Contractor June 2018 - Present Installation and maintenance of both residential and commercial security and monitoring systems under several firms, e.g. Smart Home Services, Safe Home Services, AJs Tech, Johnson Controls, Northstar, Skyline and Convergint to name a few. • For a service or installation, the dates & times are set for me. I normally go to a distributor for all necessary equipment before making the initial trip. • I then contact the customer to confirm the appointment, make sure they understand what they are getting and that I understand what their needs/goals are. • Ability to prioritize and work independently with minimal direct supervision. • Installations included equipment like the security panel, runs of wiring to AC and/or wired security devices including motion sensors, temperature detectors, door and window contacts. • Peripheral devices e.g, Door Bell Cameras and full security camera systems are also popular. • Most residential systems were wireless (panels to devices). All commercial installations were wired systems. • For all the wired systems, the running of Cat 5e/6 cabling was the bulk of the work followed by panel and device installation. Commercial installations could take several weeks to complete. • Covering mainly Minnesota but also the Northern-half of Wisconsin, North Dakota, South Dakota and Iowa should the need arise, • All reporting was completed with various online software tools where I could explain exactly what I had to do to complete each task, how long it took, what my expenses were, etc… State of Minnesota, Department of Labor o Unlicensed Electrical and Power Limited Technician, License# RT761457 o This is renewed annually through Tradesman CE coursework o License held since 2018
