About John Rasmussen

With over 20 years of experience in the aerospace and defense industry, I am a senior quality engineer who is passionate about ensuring the highest standards of performance, reliability, and safety for mission-critical systems. I have a proven track record of delivering results in integration and test, manufacturing process improvement, defect analysis and disposition, and root cause and corrective action. I hold an EMSRB certification as a first responder, which demonstrates my commitment to serving and protecting our communities and customers. As a senior quality engineer at General Dynamics Mission Systems, I support assigned programs throughout the build and test process, following the applicable IPC, AS9100, and program requirements. I perform first article inspections, analyze hardware defects and quality metrics, chair and manage the test review board, and prepare rejected material reports. I also collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, and program management teams to identify and resolve issues, mitigate risks, and ensure customer satisfaction. Some of the skills that I apply in my role are manufacturing process improvement, FRACAS, and J-STD-001.
