My name is John Richardson, I’m 34 years old and have lived in Regina,Saskatchewan since 2008 working and living here. My journey started in Saskatchewan and is still continuing in this great province. Born in Saskatoon, Canada an only child, son of immigrants, my mother from the Philippines and my father from England. Grew up in small towns in Saskatchewan and been in Moose Jaw and Regina since 2001 so I’ve embraced prairie living small and big. Currently a Finance Assistant, Accounts Receivable in the Saskatchewan Health Authority Finance Department in Regina, Saskatchewan. I graduated from Saskatchewan Polytechnic as an Occupational Health and Safety Practitioner in June 2019. The college program trained me in the necessary skills and resources I needed to implement an effective efficient health and safety program. Utilized either the Saskatchewan Employment Act, Occupational Health and Safety Regulations, Canada Labour Code, and world renowned health and safety theory. Finished a one year temporary full time Safety Associate position with the Saskatchewan Health Authority as a N95 Quantitative Respirator Fit Tester working out of the Workplace Employee Health & Safety Department in Regina, Saskatchewan. I also have over 11 years experience as a retail food clerk for the Sherwood Co-op Grocery Store where I made sure new stock items would be displayed correctly on shelves, repetitive continuous lifting, pallet moving, expressed informative customer service, wore correct PPE when needed, ordered new stock and checked for expired product. I completed the food handling safety certificate through Saskatchewan Health Authority and 40 hours training for provincial security guard license. I have gained lots of knowledge working with front line workers, the importance of safety, confidentiality with patients and co-workers during the Covid-19 pandemic in the hospital workplace setting since 2020. I'm reliable, dependable and open to opportunities in various career fields to gain more knowledge to help me one day reach my personal financial goals. My Accounting & Payroll diploma which I graduated with in Feb 2024 has helped me in my current job position. Thank you for reading my profile:)
