About John Riehs

I was born and raised in La Grange, Texas. I attended Oklahoma Christian University and played on a tennis scholarship from 1990-1994. During my collegiate tennis career, I was named NAIA All-American, as well as NAIA Academic All-American. After graduating summa cum laude with a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Oklahoma Christian University, I earned a Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio. I was an Omicron Kappa Upsilon scholarship recipient during dental school, achieved many academic and clinical awards, and graduated magna cum laude. After graduation I moved to Edmond, Oklahoma where I practiced general dentistry as an associate in a private practice. Five years later, I returned to my Texas roots and followed my passion to work with children. I pursued and received my postdoctoral certificate in pediatric dentistry at the University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio in 2007. After graduation, I returned to Dallas to start my pediatric dental career and raise my two children Jacob and Hayden. In 2015, I opened my own practice which specializes in children’s dental care in the Dallas/Ft. Worth area, Preston Center Pediatric Dentistry.
