About John Rizzo

Let's dare to say it: Yes, the teaching profession is much more complex today than it was 30 years ago. Yes, today, fewer and fewer students like to come to school to learn. Stop doublespeak. The world has changed profoundly, and school as a system has not evolved.By always doing more of the same thing, we get the same result: suffering, teacher shortages, academic failure, full elitist schools vs. deserted schools. In 2016, Fanny Demeulder contacted me after reading my book "Save the school?". Since then, the one who has become my partner in both the professional and private sectors, made me remove the question mark: Save the school! What are we proposing? Not a revolution but a profound evolution of the system. We have built freely available educational materials and we provide training to enable teachers to boost the motivation and academic results of their students, even in heterogeneous classes. Yes, students can learn the basic building blocks faster and better, while developing 21st century skills, such as autonomy and cooperation.A little theory, many easily actionable tools and essential principles: a simple recipe without being simplistic, which requires courage to change habits and beliefs, and hours of practice to develop the technicality of a new posture. Our problem: we only have two heads and four arms, and we are overwhelmed with requests. With additional resources, we could develop more materials and train more teachers.Help us if you want our schools to become an inspiring model for the rest of the world. Our passion is to help schools find new life. Seeing hope reborn in the eyes of students who felt like they were on a dead end. See the sacred fire rekindle in the hearts of their teachers.Contact me today to learn more:+32 486 345 901john@schoolup.be
