In Canada Life: I am an Artificial Intelligence Professional, working with a multi-disciplinary team to create AI & ML solutions for Canada Life. The hallmark of our team's approach to AI is to make sure we don't stop at the technology. As an AI translator, I am responsible to our end user success; making sure that business problems are clearly defined and that the end users are partners in the development of solutions. AI solutions need careful change management to ensure adoptions and success, and this is also where I am able to bring value to the teams that we support. In the Canadian Armed Forces: I am a seasoned intelligence professional, and a veteran of three deployments to Afghanistan as an intelligence operator with the Canadian Armed Forces. I am currently the training officer for 6 Intelligence Company, where I create and deliver military intelligence training for a team of 100 intelligence professionals across Western Canada. In General: I am a leadership evangelist. I am intensely passionate about leadership, both in theory and in practice. I founded a grassroots leadership association called "The Leadership Forum" where our members come together to hear a presentation on a leadership topic, and where we can discuss and grow as leaders together. Leadership is a challenge, can be a burden, is an art and a science, and is one of the most important responsibilities a person can ever assume. I take great pride in developing my own leadership skills, and in any small part I can play in helping others develop their leadership journey.
