About John Romine

John C Romine is currently Chairman of the Board of The Romine Group, Inc.(TRG). The Romine Group is a company specializing in Educational Consulting, School Improvement, Problem Solving, Strategic Planning, Educational Seminars, Charter School Development and Management.Prior to becoming Chairman of the Board John was President of The Romine Group. Previously, John was President / CEO of J.C.R. and Associates a full service Charter School management company. In J.C.R. and Associates merged with Beacon Education management of Westboro, Mass. At that time J.C.R. was managing 18 Public School Academies (Charter Schools) in the state of Michigan. Prior to J.C.R. & Associates, John was a Regional Representative for CMU -Charter Schools Office. From 1973 -1995, he served as the head administrator of Bethesda Christian School in Warren, Mi. Before joining Bethesda Christian School, John was a teacher, an admissions counselor at Wayne State University, Assistant Director of Admissions at Northern Michigan University and Director of Financial Aid and Admissions at Macomb Community College. He has a wide range of leadership experiences from elementary school through college. In addition, John has taught seminars on many subjects including areas of leadership, understanding personality types, building self esteem, raising children, discipline, teaching techniques and many others. He has also been the Director of International Education with Rhema International, a non-profit organization, and their efforts with Hope Academy, a four-year college in Port Au Prince, Haiti. The Michigan Association of Public School Academies (MAPSA) in November 2001 named John Romine the MAPSA Leadership Award recipient. John received a Ph. B. from Montieth College, at Wayne State University and a M.A. from U of M. He currently resides in Lexington, Michigan. John is married to Ronalee and has three adult, married sons and 9 wonderful grandchildren. Specialties: Starting, establishing,overseeing and manageing new Charter Schools in michigan
