About John Rosan

John learned about focus, attention to detail and strategy as an accomplished competitive bodybuilder and working in politics. John has a history of diverse professional experience beyond public accounting. His vast experience is in public accounting and specifically in the insurance industry make him a valued professional. However, his communication style and ability to focus on strategic priorities was also shaped working in politics in the mid-1990s and being a champion bodybuilder on the drug-free circuit from 2003-2006. John continues to serve in an advisory and fiduciary capacity in political and public-sector affairs and enjoys nurturing the relationships he built during the early to mid-1990s. While his comptetion days are behind him, fitness remains a priority to better his health and well being. John has a history of service to the accounting profession; financial, public and non-profit communities. He is a graduate of the 2018 class of the FBI’s Citizens Academy. John is a member of the Ohio Society of CPAs, where he is a former executive board member, and the AICPA. He is currently a board member of the City of Gahanna Income Tax Review Board to which he was appointed in 2002. John previously served, after being appointed by Ohio Governor John Kasich, the board of the Ohio Venture Capital Authority. He also previously served on the boards of the Columbus Metropolitan Housing Authority, Prevent Blindness Ohio, The Mid-Ohio Regional Planning Commission and the Ohio Chapter of the Insurance Accounting and Systems Association. John graduated from Ohio University with a BBA in Accounting Summa Cum Laude where he served as the student government president from 1992-1993. John resides in Gahanna, Ohio with his wife and children. He enjoys investing in charities primarily to improve the well-being of children and animals. He is also a loyal supporter of the Boston Red Sox Foundation, the charitable arm of his favorite sports franchise.
