About John Ruby

Public Storage, the largest self-storage company in the US, entrusted me with the responsibility of overseeing the design and implementation of effective programs to address evolving risks, protect assets, and enhance brand image. As a Loss Prevention Executive, I have more than 30 years of progressive experience in the loss prevention field, spanning self-storage, restaurant, and retail industries. I built a department of professionals across multi-state and multi-unit areas, providing support and consultation on various aspects of loss prevention, security operations, physical security, corporate investigations, and legal proceedings. I also serve as a liaison between the company and law enforcement agencies, and research and design physical security solutions to meet the needs of the business. I hold a B.B.A. degree from the University of Central Missouri and a certificate from the ISMA Leadership Program at Georgetown University. My mission is to ensure the safety and security of our customers, employees, and properties, and to uphold the reputation and values of Public Storage.
