I started my career in automotive service with an A.A.S. degree from Ferris state university in automotive service. I spent the first several years learning the industry and working to become a master at the skill. I spent the next 20 years in two dealerships as a leader in diagnostics, repair production and team leadership. I have been an automotive diagnostic expert for 30 years. My natural career advancement led me to become a dealership service manager. After a few years I was recruited to share and teach my expertise to the next generation of auto technician in the independent shop where I currently run the day to day operations, and lead a fantastic group of young technicians just starting their careers. During this career I studied Physical fitness and became a personal trainer and a Crossfit level 2 trainer. this experience taught me a lot about personal communication and patients. This was beneficial to my leadership advancement. Recently I stumbled on an opportunity to train a generative AI to assist customers in making good decisions about their vehicle maintenance and repairs.
