Currently Working as a Team Leader in North Dublin with YAP Ireland,(Youth Advocate Programme). Previous employment and work experience as Youth Worker at Youth Work Ireland Cavan & Monaghan, Finglas Youth Resource Centre, Youth Action Northern Ireland and finally as an Advocate with YAP Ireland while studying at DKIT L8 BA (Hons) in Community Youth Work -(NSETS endorsed). Enthusiastic, dedicated and focused individual with over 25 years experience within the Newspaper print media industry with National titles such as Irish Independent, The Daily Telegraph and The Financial Times. After taking redundancy from my old job in 2019 at Irish Independent News and Media, I went on to study QQI L5 & 6 SNA with Midland School of Childcare and Applied Social Studies L5 & Psychology at Monaghan Institute, I have learned and developed good understanding and ideals regarding mental health awareness, discrimination, intercultural studies, human growth and development and psychology. They have been excellent courses that helps me identify patterns of development and gives me the skills and knowledge to highlight factors that could affect a young person throughout their developmental years. Develops good relationships with all levels and age groups and uses an adaptable approach to handle the needs of a diverse range of individuals. Delivers a high standard of performance in pressurised working environments, both managing staff and reporting to senior managers. CMETB facilitator of STEAM workshops for young people, teaching all aspects of digital media, VR and technology, including Adobe Suite and Film Production, Podcasting & Stop Motion Animation. Love working in a creative environment. Completed a Film making course through Kinia Ireland to teach children how to make short films using mobile devices, from conception, to planning and creation.
