As the Lead Forester at HQPlantations Jimna, I oversee our forestry operations in Harvesting, Silviculture and Stewardship. A experienced leader of people and organizations and a manager of business functions, I thrive in an environment of significant opportunity for transformation, growth, drive, and efficiency. As part of my primary functions, I am responsible for growing our safety culture, leading the operational delivery of our silviculture and custodial programs. Coordinating the fire protection and prescribed burning regime and fire suppression campaign. Lead the delivery of all stewardship outcomes and ensure they are met by working with FSC and Responsible wood auditors. Manage current harvest operations and coordinate tactical planning of future harvest areas. Continually building strong and resilient relationships with our contractor workforce and our stakeholders. Outside of work, I enjoy spending time in the bush. Nature is my passion, I feel at ease in the bush or taking the tinny out on the water. I have a farm in the Mary Valley which occupies a lot of my spare time raising cattle and improving the landscape. I thoroughly enjoy hunting, fishing, kayaking and farming. Hard work on my property is how I reset myself and find new creativity and renewed bond with nature.
