About John Sealock

Mr. Sealock is a principal member of Sealock Consulting, LLC, whose mission is to provide energy, environmental, and management consulting with emphasis on business development and strategic partnering. He currently serves on the Advisory Board of Idea Entity Corporation where he is providing Idea Entity management counsel regarding operation, marketing, and strategic partnering with the objective of growing and diversifying their business. Mr. Sealock has been involved in energy and environmental research for over thirty years. He has significant experience in project, intellectual property, and line management. He joined Pacific Northwest Laboratory in 1977 as a research scientist and spent his career in technical and management assignments with increasing responsibility and complexity. Mr. Sealock retired in 2008 as a senior manager serving in his last assignment as the Interim Chief Operating Officer for the Energy and Environment Directorate. In this role he served as the principal deputy to the Associate Laboratory Director. His specific responsibility included oversight of the technical recourses, product lines, and the business and operations components comprised of a staff of about scientists and engineers and other support staff embodied in four divisions, four product lines, and an operations office. Prior to this assignment Mr. Sealock served for several years as Director of the Energy and Engineering Division, where he was responsible for a staff of approximately 180 researchers comprised primarily of social scientists and engineers. Work in the division was conducted in six research groups and centered around energy policy and program analysis, technology systems analysis, technology planning and deployment, energy technology development, computational mechanic and material behavior, mechanical and robotic systems, and administrative support. Specialties: Working with companies to provide management advice and in developing strategic partnerships with emphasis on helping companies work with the Department of Energy national laboratories and other govermental agencies.
